About us

Harrington Group, founded by Joseph Harrington in 1994,  provides personal and quality service to nonprofit organizations.  Each of our Partners, Sean E. Cain, Tonetta L. Conner, Carlos Davis and Oswaldo Torres have more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.  Harrington Group is represented by a diverse group of professionals who understand that serving people is of the utmost importance.  This is why Harrington Group provides an environment where creative, people-oriented professionals can practice.

Harrington Group's firm belief is to make our clients more successful.  We get into the issues in detail, using our knowledge and experience to help attain the satisfaction that comes with problems solved and goals achieved.  We make every effort to be available whenever a need arises and encourage our clients to look to us for assistance and support in all their endeavors.

Harrington Group is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs.  We also have an associate membership with the California Alliance of Child and Family Services. The firm is also a member of the Government Audit Quality Center and the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center of the AICPA.

As outstanding professionals, our partners are often engaged to speak at conferences and seminars on topics such as financial management, cost allocations, and funding trends. Our knowledge and expertise is invaluable in helping clients improve their performance. To remain current on accounting and auditing matters related to the profession, and issues related to nonprofits, all staff, both licensed and non-licensed, are required to complete 80 hours of continuing education every two years. This internal requirement of Harrington Group is consistent with the requirements for licensure.
